Martha's Vineyard Bed & Breakfast: Everyone asks “How did you decide to buy a B& B, was it your life’s dream?” It may come as a disappointment to some, but our simple answer has to be no, it just kind of happened and fell in to place, but we no doubt feel like it was meant to happen and have no regrets! Here is how our story goes... Lou and I were both settled in to our careers and living in Grand Rapids. Lou phoned me one day at my office and told me to take a look at a website that he had found. I logged on and realized it was a list of B&Bs for sale. I thought to myself, “I can play this game”, so I picked my favorite, Martha’s Vineyard, and told him “If you are going to buy one this is the one I want!”Like most people who had ever stayed at a B& B we thought “This could be fun, maybe we could do this when we retire,” but had never put any serious consideration in to it. We came to visit Martha’s Vineyard on Mother’s Day, made an offer, and took possession 6 weeks later. Like a whirlwind our lives began to change... We invite you to come and share in our lives, visit with us in our home, and experience the fascination that we have found at Martha’s Vineyard B&B.
